Fort Myers is a city in southwest Florida. It was founded after the American Civil War in 1866. It was settled by a family near the abandoned Fort Myers, where it became the area’s first trading post. A small community began to form around the trading post. In 1885, inventor Thomas Edison was cruising Florida’s west coast and stopped to visit Fort Myers and he bought 13 acres along the Caloosahatchee River in town. In 1916, automobile magnate Henry Ford purchased the home next door to Edison’s. In 1947, Mina Edison deeded the property to the City of Fort Myers. By 1988, the adjacent Henry Ford winter estate was purchased by the city and opened for public tours in 1990. The combined properties today are known as the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. The picture on top was part of a bathroom remodeling project we did. The following picture is of a kitchen remodeling project we did in a Fort Myers neighboring city.
When looking at the bathroom on top notice the curved soffit that conceals the plumbing drains in the condo above. We are able to take an obstacle that would typically create an eyesore and turn it into the focal point of the bathroom. The kitchen remodel just above features a dark tiger wood wall cabinetry that contrasts well with the smart fridge. There is also under cabinet lighting and outlets are flush with the bottom of the cabinetry to keep the contemporary clean vibe.
